Turn the page
Travelling again… But what happens when you turn to the last page of your passport and there is only space for 1 more stamp. Yup – just one.
Initially panic sets in – yikes – I am travelling in a week so how is this all going to come together?
Then after finding out how to get more pages and booking an appointment with the US embassy is all quite straightforward. Now getting into the embassy – another story but we won’t go there. Let’s just say it’s better to show up in a bikini as it might be the quickest way to get in.
I digress.
I have a confession though – turning the page to witness that only 1 more stamp area remains made me feel a bit of travel serendipity. It’s been 8 years and to see my passport all full with country stamps 10+ visa’s all makes me feel proud. Deep down inside I give myself a mini high-five…but really end up smirking on the outside.
Flipping the pages each time I get to an airport is so nostalgic and every visa has shaped the steps I decided to take and experiences I wanted to create enriching my life in all sorts of ways.
Now, fellow-passport I am ready to turn the page to more years of uncharted waters. It feels good start the wanderlust again!
