Work: A new found freedom
What would 1 week of work look like in an ideal world? What words will you be using during your ideal day?
The idea of ‘work’ is certainly changing in a way that the 9-5 will be turned on it’s head. Yes you can still have a set of responsibilities and necessary deadlines, acheivements, etc, but if it was up to me you would be able to have the creative time you need and when you want it.
In 1 week I like to work on variety, but also take small steps knowing I have achieved something. So in an ideal world the week can be split or flaked by the following tasks – creating a rad digital project with developers, pulling together strategy to help launch products for the greater good (as well as research), looking at online campaign channels and testing what works – search marketing, affiliates, traffic partners, display, possibly briefing in a print ads to graphic designer, researching new energy initiatives and funding that is put out there, networking with others interested in energy, sustainable living, and digital stuff.
This new found freedom is certainly multi-faceted and that’s really the way I think work is going. Collaboration and Flexibility – home working/office working. You set the time, but also look to establish convenient meeting times with others including feedback loops.
